Blogging
Blogging is a global phenomenon that has revolutionized “citizen journalism.” Worldwide, there are over 1,000,000 entries posted on blogs every day.
Personal, professional and corporate blogs can consist of stories, opinions, training (like Easy Web Steps), photos, videos, music and more. A blog’s content may also include current events, entertainment news, technology updates, lifestyle, sports, politics, business, philosophy, religion, etc… In other words, a blog can contain whatever content the owner chooses to publish to the world.
By now, most folks have heard of blogs and they know what blogs are. There’s nothing mysterious or scary about blogging, quite the contrary. A blog is simply a website that allows you to easily update and add content whenever you like. Creating and running a blog not only gives you control of your site’s content, but it also allows you to interact with visitors who leave comments.
Every time you update your blog or someone leaves you a comment, your blog ‘pings’ the search engines letting them know there is some new and fresh content on the web. Because of the continuous feed of new information, search engines love blogs - making it much quicker and easier to drive traffic to your site than with a typical static page website.
There are several ways that you can create a free blog. For example, sites such as Blogger and WordPress. It only requires a few minutes of following some simple step-by-step instructions, and you’ll be up and blogging in no time. For business, I recommend a “Hosted” blog. You can read more about hosted blogs by clicking here.
Blogging is fun, and it’s easy to do. You can Google the term “blog directory” and surf blogs for days. I recommend just checking out a few at Technorati.
I hope this helps. Thanks for reading.
